Greenwich peninsula

Limbering up for the Dunwich Dynamo has taken me round the Greenwich Peninsula a couple of times this week. Funny old place, but great for cycling. I also visited the Church of St Nicholas in Deptford, last resting place of Christopher Marlowe and home to an impressive pair of sculpted skull and crossbones.

Say it with flowers

This is part of a quite spectacular floral tribute to a motorcyclist killed in an accident in Deptford a couple of weeks ago. It looks funny here, but among all the other wreaths and messages marking the scene of the crash it's a truly powerful expression of grief.
