Cycled up to the Water Rats to meet Judge Ed, Mr Adams and Lorraine and see the East Town Pirates - Rikky Flag and Jonny Learjet's new outfit, challenging west country piracy hegemony with unreconstructed tricorn rock and roll. A top night had by all me hearties.

This summer I have been mostly occupied with toddler taming and cultivating facial hair. Sadly, the moustache has now gone as apparently it made me look like a serial killer. I thought it had a certain Donald Sutherland/Kurt Vonnegut feel to it, but alas I am now feeling the first hints of autumn on my upper lip once more.
